Using a Peter Pugger in school

Schools, Colleges, Universities

Saves Time

Pugger-Mixers are ideally suited to classroom situations. Reclaiming massive amounts of scrap is what they are designed to do.

Moist clay from abandoned projects can be stored in the hopper and recycled between classes. Dry chunks, like broken greenware, take more time to blend completely.

Constant hand-feeding is not necessary with the Peter Pugger: load a batch in the hopper, push MIX and let the machine homogenize the whole batch. Switch to PUG and the machine empties itself in the form of solid clay "logs".

Safety

All our Pugger-Mixers shut off automatically when the hopper door is opened. It is not necessary to continually hand-feed the Peter Pugger as with standard pugmills. A locking feature is available for ultimate security.

Affordable & Cost-effective

The Peter Pugger is of robust construction, built to last many years of strenuous operation. High quality, industrial drive parts combined with a long guarantee ensures low maintenance and cost savings in the long run.

Greatly reducing the effort required to reuse clay, as well as reclaiming clay which otherwise might be discarded, increases the payback with each additional ton processed.

Saves Space

The Pugger-Mixer does the work of both a clay mixer and a pugmill, but takes the space of only one machine.

Storing scrap clay in the hopper of the Pugger-Mixer retains clay moisture and eliminates the time and space devoted to soaking scrap and storing scrap buckets.

Saves Time

There is no need to force-feed the Pugger-Mixer. Simply load a batch and press MIX. The Pugger-Mixer will process the clay without constant attention.

No soaking, slaking, drying or pre-mixing. The Pugger-Mixer can reclaim scrap in any condition.

The Pugger-Mixer has a large batch capacity. Scrap can be stored right in the machine.

Affordable & Cost-effective

One machine that can both mix and pug - for little more than the cost of either - is a real savings. High quality, industrial caliber, long guarantee, and low maintenance equate to savings in the long run.

Used in daily studio production since 1975, Peter Pugger is the most capable machine on the market.

There is no clay waste.

Wet, dry, greenware, slip, slop and scraps are stored in the hopper for mixing.

Owning a workhorse like the Peter Pugger is, as one customer put it, "... like having a loyal and tireless assistant 24 hours a day."

Saves Space

The Pugger-Mixer does the work of both a clay mixer and a pugmill but takes the space of only one machine.

Buckets for storing and soaking scrap can be eliminated if scrap is stored directly in the hopper of the Pugger-Mixer.
